PRO TIPS FOR PEAK-SEASON VISITORS

WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW ABOUT VISITING ELDORA DURING HIGH DEMAND PERIODS

As a smaller ski area with limited parking capacity, Eldora often completely fills its parking lots between 8:00 AM and 1:00 PM on Saturdays, Sundays, holidays, and occasionally on Fridays.

This can also happen on ANY day new snowfall generates a powder frenzy, especially if local schools call snow days—or if I-70 becomes congested, which tends to drive more traffic here from the south.

ELDORA OPENS FOR 2021/22 WINTER SEASON ON FRIDAY, NOVEMBER 19

Eldora, the backyard winter playground for Boulder County, greater Denver, and Colorado’s northern Front Range, will open for alpine skiing and riding on Friday, November 19, with one chairlift, the Alpenglow high-speed six-person chair, and one intermediate run, Hornblower trail to International trail.

While no beginner terrain or freestyle park terrain will be available on opening day or weekend, Eldora’s operations crews will be working to open more of the mountain as weather permits.
