Timbers Rail Jam Classic - January 25th, 2019

On January 25th, Eldora hosted the first of three events in the Ante Up Freestyle Fridays contest series. Over 30 local skiers and snowboarders competed on an innovative rail setup created by the Woodward park staff.

Intertribal Blessing and Gratitude Ceremony

On Saturday, December 22nd, Eldora was honored to host an intertribal, intertraditional blessing and gratitude ceremony by an indigenous group representing Aztec, Lakota, Apache, and Hopi peoples and traditions. Together, with more than 100 guests, they performed a prayer for the mountains, snow, water, and earth. Through the ceremony, we all expressed gratitude for the abundant snowfall Eldora has seen so far this winter.

Eldora's "Closer to You" series showcases the people who make the Eldora community so special.

Growing up in Nederland, Colorado, Elly Brown, rental and retail director, never knew she’d still be around at such a formidable time in the history of her local ski hill. 

now in her 11th season on the mountain, Brown began working in the Eldora rental shop when she was a senior in high school, “and just kind of worked my way up,” she says.

Nordic Center is Opening!

Eldora's Nordic Center will open to the public on Thursday, November 29, 2018! Guests will have access to an initial 30km of groomed trails, meandering through serene forests, across expansive alpine meadows, and past dramatic mountain backdrops. Classic cross-country skiing, skate skiing, or snowshoeing will all be available - with early season conditions.
