World Pro Ski Tour: Colorado Pro Open at Eldora

The World Pro Ski Tour (WPST) will host the Colorado Pro Open, its third race of the season, at Eldora Mountain in Nederland, Colorado on January 17th and 18th, 2020. The race will feature two-time Olympic gold medalist, Ted Ligety, alongside the best dual-format alpine racers in the world, including World Championships silver medalist Phil Brown, the winner of the last three Tour stops, and NCAA Champion Robert Cone and many more.

The World Pro Ski Tour is a nationwide tour of events where professional skiers race side-by-side in a single elimination format. Prize money and an overall World Pro Tour title attract Olympians and professional skiers from around the world. On-site spectators and TV viewers can watch all stops on the Tour in an exciting and easy to understand format. More information on the World Pro Ski Tour and all its partners can be found at http://worldproskitour.com

Race weekend will kick off with a “Share the Love of Ski Racing” welcome reception at Boulder’s Flatirons Subaru on Thursday, January 16, 2020. Consumers interested in test-driving a Subaru at Flatirons any time during race week will receive special VIP credentials to the race. Flatirons Subaru will join other race sponsors, including Tito’s Handmade Vodka, Tuff Shed, Surefoot Ski Boots, SYNC Performance, Sinner, and more, for the WPST Colorado Pro Open Qualifiers under the lights at Eldora Mountain Friday evening. The top 32 athletes qualify and face off against Ligety and other competitors on Saturday, January 18, 2020.

Qualifications will occur under the lights on January 17, with registration open online now, and onsite from 12:00-3:00pm.  World Pro Ski Tour events are open to any athletes willing to brave the dual-racing format and the aggressive course; cash winnings are paid out to the top athletes after qualifications.  Tour members can earn points for an overall Tour Championship title and a place in the World Pro Ski Tour World Championships race at Taos Ski Valley, April 10-12, 2020.
